The Bestest Diwali Gift Ideas for Babies and Kids in India 2026
Posted by TEAM ALMIRAH
Not everyone at Diwali is buying for their own children. Most of us are buying for someone else's — a niece, a nephew, a best friend's new baby, the little one at the family gathering whose parents you want to give something to that isn't another toy.
This guide is for you!
For a newborn or baby under 1 year
The Haathi March Newborn Essentials Gift Pack. It contains everything a new parent reaches for every single day — a muslin swaddle, a bib, a burp cloth, four face wipes — all in our iconic elephant print. Beautifully packaged. Practical from the first night.
This is not a gift that gets stored away. It gets used until it's worn out, and then the parents ask you where you got it.
For a child aged 1–5 years
A personalised pyjama set with their name embroidered on the pocket. Not an iron-on — actual hand embroidery by our artisans. The kind of gift a child picks up and understands is specifically, entirely theirs.
Order personalised gifts by 24th October to guarantee Diwali delivery.
For a child aged 5–12 years
The Llama or Dino pyjama set. Both are beloved by children who already know them and irresistible to children who don't yet. The Llama has been our bestselling print for four years. The Dino is the first thing dinosaur-obsessed children ask for by name.
Either one arrives beautifully packaged. Neither one will disappoint.

For the whole family — when you can't decide
A matching family pyjama set. Buy one for the child, one for the mum. The Haathi March in blue for the boy, pink for the woman. The Llama for anyone. The Tiger for the family that goes bold.
It is the gift that keeps appearing on Instagram on Diwali morning, in photographs that get shared widely, that parents show each other and say: where did you get that?
If you're not sure — get a gift card
When you genuinely don't know what size to get or which print they'd love, our gift cards let the parent choose. Available in any denomination. Sent by email instantly.
